Here is the good news for all the Carrie Underwood fans, the beautiful American singer released her first single on Wednesday. The name of her new empowering song is ‘Cry Pretty.’ The song is about being emotionally honest and vulnerable.
Meantime, it is Carrie’s first single since 2016. Carrie is a songwriter and an actress also. She even won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. However, her new single is co-produced and written by herself. She collaborated with Nashville’s songwriting team for the same song.
On Monday, she revealed the details about the song her website. She announced the song title and cover. The song has beautifully added some past event references such as the accident she met with in November. The accident left her with a broken wrist and around 50 stitches on her face.
The singer penned a letter to her fans on her website in which she mentioned, “The title refers to when emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back. It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life. It’s emotional. It’s real. And it ROCKS! It comes out TOMORROW at 6 am ET, and I’m so excited I’ll be performing it live on the ACM Awards this weekend, so I hope you’ll all tune in to see it!”
Furthermore, she wrote, “I’ve been in the studio writing and singing a TON, but I’ve also been able to be creative in a way that I’ve never been before, which has been very fulfilling and empowering.”
