Dwayne Johnson reveals about his struggle during ‘Depression’

The global star Dwayne Johnson also known as ‘The Rock’ recently shared his struggle experience of Depression when he was shooting for his upcoming season of hit HBO series ‘Ballers.’

In a scene, Dwayne Johnson opens beer can on the grave of character’s brother. Meanwhile, he didn’t like the scene personally and shared his feelings by a post on his Instagram handle with a long caption. The post also got 1.5 million likes.

With the post, Dwayne shared how his mother attempted suicide when he was just 15. His mother walked into oncoming traffic and he just grabbed her and took her back to the gravel shoulder of the road.

He further wrote, “What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.” “Struggle and pain are real. We’ve all been there on some level or another,” he further added.

He shared this post on February 1st and got an amazing response from his supporters. After the post he talked to media regarding the issue and opened about the impact, his mother’s suicidal attempt has put on his mind. He was so devastated and depressed after this incident which led to the state of mind where he was not willing to go anywhere or do anything, he was crying constantly.

Dwayne felt the depression when he was 23. He got cut from the Canadian Football League as he didn’t make to the NFL and his dream of playing football professionally got destroyed.

While referring this mental problem, Dwayne said that with depression you could realise that you are not only one who is facing it. He also expressed the feeling that he wishes he had someone to hold him and say ‘it’s going t be okay.’

On Sunday night, by his Twitter handle, he thanked for all the response he was getting from the people after his post.
