I look for universal needs and areas of agreement. In my view there is little to be gained from unresolved conflict. My role is to navigate to the common ground. My work as a guide (facilitator & mediator) has connected me with various problem-solving experiences during the past 20 years. My service in 'removing obstacles' is my attempt to foster growth and new insight. I have deep faith that with support, people are capable of healing themselves and resolving their problems. My desire to help people in discord has led me to work assignments in Canada, England, Germany, India and the United States. Through these experiences I continue to deepen my appreciation for collaborative efforts throughout the world. I honed my professional skills throughout 17 years of participation in telecommunication projects. I graduated from the school of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NC State University and I am certified by the Mediation Training Institute International. I am also a co-owner and practitioner of the Genuine Contact Program. I serve on the Executive Committee of Directors for The Alliance of AIDS Services * Carolina. My wife, Jean, and I currently live in Raleigh, NC.
