http://www.daytonpeacemuseum.org I am one of the directors of the Dayton International Peace Museum. Peace museums' provide a space for peace in a world preoccupied with violence. Currently in the U.S. there are over 140 listed military museums, some supported with government money, and one "open" peace museum. Through permanent and rotating exhibits, programs and special events the Dayton International Peace Museum provides a proactive approach to the culture of peace. Instead of reacting to a violent world by wasting human lives and resources on military options we should be looking at ways to create a world that is peaceful by removing the conditions that cause violence to occur. That is why I like Ode. It is all about the positive. The people of peace outnumber the violent people of the world, but we hear more about the violent. We need to listen to, and empower the peaceful people of the world. Focus on Peace!
