I am a traveller, a lover of this Planet and its inhabitants. I spend my time between photography, writing and trekking all around. A Finn and a vegetarian always on the lookout for local (yet unknown) ideas, languages, dresses and ways of seeing the world.
MY JOURNAL:

Coming back home from a six month long trip in Asia (China, Japan, Tibet, Nepal, North India) has been quite a shock. Leaving Delhi airport at night, departing from that apparent chaos that seems to be at the heart of all things in India, and arriving in the overly orderly and clean Zurich airport in Switzerland was the biggest cultural shock I have experienced in my Life. And this certainly wasn't my first time in and out of chaotic environments...

I guess six months away from this order that rules Europe and most of what we call "Western" countries allowed me to forget and pass beyond the comfort I'd been raised up in.

Suddenly all those troubles that seem to cloud our Peace in Europe seemed non-existent and I truly felt all that which I had know all my Life: we have crafted ourselves a slice of Earthly Heaven onto this continent.

No longer do I hold an ideological belief about how our values and ways of doing things could be transmitted to those who seek them. No longer do I believe that with just a bit more good will we will be able to make a dent into the path we have chosen as human consumers on this Planet.

A slight sense of hopelessness sank in concerning the state of our only home in this universe; yet at the same time the Peace and letting go I learned to cherish and walk by, during my trip to some of the holiest places on this Earth, helped me smile with gratitude. A deep Thank You to all that which I have been able to see, hear, taste, feel, experience during my short lifetime on this most beautiful ball endlessly turning around in the Milky Way.

I hope that all that which I have learned and seen will help us understand one another just a bit better, even if my words and tales reach only a few amongst us. My words and actions may only be a drop in a seemingly endless ocean, yet spreading them is better than letting our world turn dry and bitter.

May we grow and learn to LISTEN to one another. May we grow and learn to UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT one another for who we have chosen to become during our short lifetimes on this Earth. May we grow and learn to LOVE ourselves and each other, in GRATITUDE and JOY. May the light of PEACE shine within so that it may shine throughout.
