MY MESSAGES:

Regarding the "No More Charity Please" article: I love finding people who DO THE WORK BETTER THAN I COULD EVER DO, and I learned of The Sullivan Center in Atlanta, whose mission statement is "A HAND UP, NOT A HAND OUT". The founder has established programs to teach organic gardening (and selling from the community garden to raise funds), resume building, interviewing skills, computer skills, and includes camps for the children. I cannot do justice to the work that is done by the volunteers of this organization and I'd like ODE to find out more at www.thesullivancenter.org or contact@thesullivancenter.org. To find a local network that works so efficiently for the community is, indeed, rewarding.
