Jessica Munna is a 23-year old American female. Born in California, she lived there until she was 9. She moved with her family to the Midwest until her father died, shortly after she turned 12 years old. She then moved to the 1000 Island region of New York State with her mother and sister. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2007 and spent the following year working in the film industry in New York City. Her primary interest in college was American history and film studies. She wrote her final thesis on historical films and the new accountability to educate the audience that needs to be taken by filmmakers in creating work that is socially and politically conscious. Her interest was in production companies such was Participant Productions. She spent 2 years interning and 6 months working on Michael Moore's documentary on healthcare, SiCKO. She worked on other documentary and narrative films and found work at a NYC art gallery before leaving NYC. Deciding that she wasn't ready to settle into a career, she decided to use the flights benefits that she has as a result of her deceased father's career with United Airlines. Currently in Hiroshima, Japan, she is learning foreign languages, seeing the world from all of its angles and writing about it and her life in her newly created blog: http://jessmunna.wordpress.com/
Follow her in her blog and share your ideas! Bon voyage!
