I was born and grew up in South Africa during the Apartheid years and left before it ended. This formed many of my views about life, the need for change and social justice and the need to end corruption at the expense of the poor. This drives my interest in belonging to organizations, non-profit and otherwise that strive for the values that I believe in. I am a consultant to companies and doctors in the natural products industry and have been the publisher of newsletters written by doctors in alternative medicine. I volunteer my time and my experience in various ways. I enjoy walking and hiking, beading, cooking, reading good fiction, traveling to interesting places and sharing time with like-minded people. I am very concerned and involved in environmental issues.
