I am a single mother of five incredible children. I have been "diagnosed" with Fibromyalgia, but have found that a positive attitude, lots of laughter, and a great support system (okay, and some mediation, too) has made the symptoms more tolerable. I've been raising my children on my own now for five years and I often hear how remarkably well they are turning out to be. My teenagers are always looking for opportunities to volunteer and they never complain about helping out around the house. As you can probably tell...I adore my children. I've also been very active in my community, although I've slowed down a lot over the past couple of years. I love my community and living in Maine, yes, even despite the wintery weather! My professional background has been in marketing and public relations and for several years now, I've been a professional organizer. I'm just thrilled that I've found a magazine and forum like here on ODE where I can find others of like mind who see life as a fun time, an interesting journey and a time period where we are allowed to make a difference in the world around us.
