Raising my child was one of the best times in my life. For many years a community organizer , helping people come together to take the power to change their community into their own hands was very rewarding. For the past few years I took care of my mother until her passing. I came to admire and love her during this time and will always miss her. Now I am re-engaging with the community and am involved with several change groups in my community. Books are friends and teachers. Love language(s), deep discussions on the world, politics, friendship, etc. Hiking, camping, white-water rafting , photography, writing, joining friends for lunch or dinner, theatre, arts, crafts fill a portion of my time. Daily caring for and enjoying my two old dogs brings me joy. Have lived in many states, including Alaska, Illinois, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, California, Washington D.C., and Oregon. Climates, customs varied. People had different patterns of speech, but underneath much the same needs, wants, and willingness to grow and change themselves and their world.
