I am a former college professor from one of the top universities here. In 2002 I became a social entrepreneur. Right now my focus is how to help rural landowners here make their farm productive. I am managing director of PPI PHilippines. a peoples' corporation. We are in a journey to slowly utilize our hilly lands here in southern mindanao pat least earn $100 a month. We are a group of over 200 people with over 2000 hectares of land. We have started planting coffee 300 hectares, cassava 50 hectares, corn 100 hectares and rice 30hectares. Soon we will plant palm oil, pine apple and cavendish banana. I am promoting EM or effective micro-organism as an alternative technology. More sustainable and environment friendly and could increase farm profits because it lessen farmer's dependence in chemical fertilizer. I am glad to join this group. I am, like you, in a coninual quest to helping make this world a better place to live in.
