My passion is educating young students so they can read, write and use math in their daily lives. This I think will give them true freedom in a complex world. I hold a Masters degree in economics, and a Bachelors in management information systems and economics. I left my job as an economist working for local utility, developing energy rates and preparing financial analysis, to help educate young people in hopes of giving them a better future. This was in response to a challenge espoused by a professor. Twelve years later, I have never regretted my choice. I remind myself everyday "I teach kids to read, and reading is power." My new life includes living in Washoe Valley, Nevada with my husband, 4 dogs and 5 horses. I am happier than ever!
