I'm a full-time mixed-media artist,( http://www.ashjoielee.com) happily married with three grown children, the most lovable dog and two cats. I work from the studio in my home in western North Carolina. I have always been an artist - growing up on the Navajo reservation in Arizona surrounded me with amazing craftsmen and artists and a love and respect of the creative process. Home decor has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy creating things that will add a touch of beauty to your surroundings. While running a Home Decor business, I realized that I wanted to create the decor, so I began making decorative art. That led to the discovery of my love for abstract mixed media art. My paintings are layers of home made papers, plaster and acrylics. I paint intuitively, seldom with an outcome planned. I have always been non-traditional, using natural resources and therapies for my home and health.
