He is currently serving in his fifth term (since 1992) on the Ohio Department of Natural Resources – Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention Advisory Council. Dan was elected in 2006 to the Board of Directors, Keep Ohio Beautiful (a Keep America Beautiful state affiliate) coordinating litter prevention and beautification efforts in communities throughout the state. In Columbus he serves on the Board of Directors for Green Columbus, the planning organization for the city’s Earth Day service projects and monthly “Green Drinks”. Dan is also a member of Mayor Michael Coleman’s “Green Team” and serves on the Green Business and Education & Outreach subcommittees. Weisenbach's company features recycled and environmentally preferable products such as promotional products made from recycled plastic, recycled paper, and recycled tire rubber; Awards made from recycled glass; plus printing with soy inks on recycled paper. They provide recycled products for programs such as: Litter Prevention, Green Events, Buy Recycled, Scrap Tire Amnesty, Used Oil Recycling, Pollution Prevention (P2), Fats-Oils-Grease (FOG), Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP), Keep America Beautiful Affiliates, Earth Day, America Recycles Day, Clean Air, Water Conservation, Neighborhood Clean-ups, River Sweeps, Construction and Demolition (C&D), Green Building, and Household Hazardous Waste Collection. Weisenbach manufactures special purpose funnels, spouts, and containers for used oil collection and pollution prevention.
