Usiku is the author of Eloquence: Rhythm & Renaissance. His dynamic yet soothing style was nurtured in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia and seasoned in the city and suburbs of Chicago. Through Eloquence, these become shared experiences. His poetry, prose and short stories are infused with a natural blend of tempo and newness.
Usiku’s spirituality and love for the natural world are evident. He uses these sources of inspiration to share messages with parallel meaning and wonderful interplay of language.
As a published author, Usiku’s love of writing has been shared through the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Parent, New Moon Parenting, Rolling Out, Single Living, the Dana Literary Society and two poetry anthologies by June Cotner. He attended the University of Illinois, Chicago and Concord University, Athens, West Virginia. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
