I am an student of Education at University of La Verne and my instructor Mr. Fernando Sanchez Valls has been phenomenal in teaching me the importance of appreciating multiculturalism and bilingualism in the classroom, and how teachers need to be well prepared to educate students of various cultures. There is a lot to learn but it is a great beginning.
MY MESSAGES:

I agree that reading opens up our imagination and brings the written words to life within our mind. I guess movies would be the next logical creative experience along with the theatre Unfortunately, we have handed over our visual imagination to the mass media to manipulate to its own advantage. One great solution is for parents to send their children to the library, and with a bit of guidance from the librarian they can continue or begin their literary experience. Hopefully, they will extend their minds to include the views of others into their learning experience, and as, Fernando Sanchez Valls, states, also experience their own "rhythym of the text."
