My father was a forester and my mom a teacher. I grew up in Alabama and spent a lot of time outdoors as a kid. I also really really loved magic tricks and theater. I started working as a street performer passing the hat in New York City around 1984. The seeds for a world class green magic show were sewn way back then. I was inspired by the streets of NYC to develop an entire show out of stuff I found in the trash... I realized that I could share info about recycling and the effect we have on the planet with magic tricks and funny stuff and it was fun. I've toured with this show ever since then. I've gotten to go to Japan, Australia, Canada, and even once appeared above the Arctic Circle. The magic show is big and expensive... our shows start at $2500 dollars and go up up up... we can work large venues 1000 people or more but the show is very unique, very pro, and we really try to inspire and entertain kids and families every time we're on stage. It's a great life. Our shows are usually underwritten by local or national companies interested in giving back to the community. I've also written a magic book that's FREE in pdf form. It's great for science teachers and home-schoolers. Its on the RESOURCES page of my web site. http://www.stevetrash.com.
