My site Lurana luraastor.blogspot.com reflects my interdisciplinarian, multi-media, informal ethnologist approach to things olfactory, color, beauty, spunk, sazz and visionary.

The musics of language, technology, edited history and the future-now interest me.

Over 30 years of teaching ages 3-93 and I allow knowledge to enter people through the brain, the physical, the ear, the language, smell-sight, humor and more, for I know that we learn in different ways at different times.

I play with juxtaposition of different media and play serendipity games, practice dominant and non-dominant writing, and work with my dreams: waking and sleeping.

I met the last two living suffragists. I choreographed to music from the then new technology of portable music synthesizers just post-Moog. I choreographed to push the video synthesis technology that became useful with MTV and more. Took a first video course, way back when The Whole Earth Catalog was everywhere; the teachers chose the book Guerilla Video; and juxtaposed 8mm film with my video work.

Currently working on a book of scent and humor.
