I was born in Sri Lanka, then called Ceylon, in 1934 and went on to manage tea and rubber plantations before emigrating to Australia in 1969 with my family. In Australia I did a variety of jobs which ended in 1993 when I decided to stop work due to dissatisfaction with the ethics of employers in general. In 1996, after some fifty-three years of consciously and subconsciously seeking the purpose of life and answers to connected questions, I wrote the first part of the book "The Milk Is White", a philosophical treatise. Since then part two has emerged and is included in the book. Since then I continue to add to it in The 'Quo Vadis?' File III.* The book, in all its parts, is available as a free download at http://www.themilkiswhite.com where links provide the option of reading on line. A greater insight into the author can be had from the profile page http://ian-maleny.gaia.com The book is not on sale anywhere. * On 20.07.09. I started posting pages of this File in my journal here at ODE. I suggest you read the oldest first.

Why do I embark on this with no experience in such an endeavour and with the knowledge that 'little me' will be attempting to convey some rather awesome spiritual truths?’

I had no idea how this would turn out and was responding to an inner prompting, a recent meditation period during which a computer keyboard floated down accompanied by the message, "The answer lies in the keyboard!" and advice to us in the Edgar Cayce Readings that we should start where we are, with what we have in hand, and leave the result to God - the Creative Force.   Read more...
