I live in the DC-metro area (Alexandria, VA) with my husband, Matt. Professionally, I am a heart-centered, action-oriented empowerment coach who is passionate about helping socially conscious visionaries align their life with their core values so that they can make a positive difference in the world! If you are curious about what I do professionally, visit, http://www.ErinCurranCoaching.com. Personally, I am a woman who loves learning, growing, and experiencing beauty in nature, art and design. I enjoy hiking, canoeing, XC-skiing, working in my garden, wandering the National Gallery in DC, eatting my husband's culinary creations, watching the FoodNetwork (yes, I cook for us too), traveling or at least envisioning our next trip, and simply spending time with good friends (music, food, laughter).
MY JOURNAL:

Recently I've been longing for aspects of my first career as a wildlife ecology researcher - I studied grassland birds in the upper midwest (WI, OH)... if you need somebody to find you a grasshopper sparrow nest in a timothy field, I'm your girl!

Living inside the beltway of Washington, DC, I've been feeling more and more disconnected from nature and wildlife, as well as from the people who love and appreciate it too. Interestingly, the feeling of disconnection is experienced as sadness and yearning. Yearning for experiences. Yearning for people with shared interests.

So, to feed this yearning, l'm looking into my local Audubon Society chapter and Appalachian Trail Conservancy. I'm hoping hubbie can join me (meaning, I hope he doesn't have a work schedule conflict). I'd really love for us to experience these things together and to expose him to a part of my life he wasn't a part of!

I wonder if I can scan and post some old bird nest photos? Sounds like a project for this weekend...

:-) Erin
