Carlo Peterini is the Founder and President of the Slow Food Movement (www.slowfood.com). Petrini is featured in the September 2007 Issue of Ode in the article titled "Signor Slow." He first came to prominence in the 1980's for taking part in a campaign against the fast food chain, McDonald's, opening by the Spanish Steps in Rome. He was recently named a great innovator in Time magazine’s list of “European heroes”. He is the author of several books and regularly contributes to a number of Italian newspapers and periodicals.
