We are fed a continuous diet of fraud, violence, gloom and doom. And most of these stories are hardly about anything new at all. They are more like an unfortunate repetition of sad events. Most of the “news” is basically old.

Ode highlights a different reality. Ode is a tribute to all the people and initiatives generating innovative solutions, creating new opportunities, and making the world a cleaner, greener, healthier, more just—and yes, better—place.

The more people that know about a possible new solution, the more people will embrace that new opportunity. That’s the essence of intelligent optimism. That’s what news should be about.
