In the brief years since its inception Ode Magazine has provided optimistic views to many aspects of the weighty World we share. For me this has been a godsend. But, merely to read the insightful stories is not always enough.

A comment from John F. Kennedy describes how i feel: As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

So how do i take these valuable words that Ode has collected for me to read and live by them?

I propose a monthly gathering of Ode readers in the Seattle area. Let's share ideas and see what we can do to make the stories come alive, to further integrate them into our lives, into our Community.

I am inspired by the thoughts attributed to Elder Chief Si'ahl (Seattle), The air shares its Spirit with all the Life it supports.
