Used text books

Over the years I have been collecting and shipping medical and science textbooks overseas through the Peace and Justice center in Burlington, VT. College teachers donate surplus textbooks to the project. Many times these textbooks would end up in the landfill.

Today we have shipped over 2400 pounds of good usable textbooks to schools overseas. My cost is in time and effort, in addition to a small postal rate. It is a great recycling effort. We also have a similar effort for local jails to receive books and magazines. Both of these projects are easy for any one to start. If you would like more information, feel free to contact me.
