Growing up global |
|
I got tired of traveling around the world and meeting people who could speak 2,3,4 or more languages when most Americans only speak 1. So I decided to do something about it - started a company called Jabberü - Growing up Global. Our goal is to inspire this generation of kids to be good global citizens. We're making foreign language education accessible to young children at an early age -- starting at 12 months. After all it is this generation that will be responsible for making sure we all get along in the future -- and you can't do that unless you understand one another and can communicate. We're having a blast -- and seeing success, even though we have a long way to go. I'm not a teacher -- i'm a marketer. Spent years developing marketing campaigns to prevent youth smoking, encourage youth voting, etc. the way I see it, we're working on what I think is one of the next really big issues. |
