Rights of indigenous people - They fight for all of us

The 2007 United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples makes some strong points. A lot of work will be needed to make it happen. But brave, fun work - and what a payoff!

The only concern here is that 'cultures' suggest groups of people vying with each other to maintain and assert their beliefs, traditions, etc. over other 'cultures'? Perhaps just accepting people as they are in all their true 'glory' as individuals, and also recognising everything and everyone as manifestations of the One Life, is enough to bring about a transformation in humanity to live in true freedom and without suffering. Then 'cultures' can be seen as expressions of groups of people sharing a space and recognising the most appropriate way to be in that space.
