Living Earth Television: Your Neighbors Around the World

Living Earth Television is creating an international village square so that people everywhere can get to know their neighbors across the globe. Visit us at www.letv.org. LETV finds programs made by and about local communities everywhere for translation and broadcast to an international audience.

LETV's programming themes are about communities and families, kids, arts and artisans, spiritual practices, sustainable living, peacemakers, and bridges between cultures. Our first series - documentaries from television producers all over China - will air next year on PBS stations in the US just before the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Through these programs, we can learn about people like ourselves in cultures and environments that may be dramatically different - helping us to see and appreciate both the richness and beauty of human cultures, but also the basic shared humanity that underlies them all.

Living Earth Television (LETV)'s programming, like Ode's content, is for intelligent optimists. There is no political or religious agenda - simply the desire to support a peaceful, positive future. We believe that fears and stereotypes can be dispelled by hearing directly from the people of other parts of the world about their own lives and loves and struggles and joys - and the solutions they are creating to the challenges that we face as citizens of the global community.
