Environmentally friendly font
Have you ever thought about how much ink you waste? Think of your ink consumption on a daily basis...or the ink consumption of your office - just one office in one city in one country in the world.
SPRANQ creative communications was concerned about ink consumption and decided to be proactive. They created a new environmentally friendly font called "EcoFont".
The designers tried to see how much of a letter could be made into white space and still remain readable. The result is a snazzy looking font that is great to use for fun print-outs like map directions, recipes and other things.
Ecofont is an open source font based on Vera Sans and is free for users, and is recommended for users of OpenOffice, AppleWorks and MS Office 2007 using a laser printer.
Still, the best way to reduce your ink consumption is to cut down on printing things you don't really need. Your printer (and the environment) will thank you later.
