Iraq not Hopeless: Buy Shoes. Save Lives.

preemptivelove.org is an organization created in 2007 to help save Iraqi children from dying of heart disease after chemical attacks and other affects of war.

The organization works by selling hand-made shoes from Kurdish craftsmen we raise money for kids’ surgeries.

The organization says, "We see in this tragedy an invitation to increase the dialogue between clashing communities. We’ve sent 23 kids this year to surgery in Israel - a partnership to build goodwill in the region. We bring nemesis neighbors together by helping their kids.You would be amazed to see Sunni & Shi’i, Arabs and Kurds suspending certain agendas to help each other out! With a little more love like that Iraq could be a bright spot in the world again."
