President Obama

The tears in the eyes of Jesse Jackson. That was the most moving moment for me. His face spoke the defining moment in history. Injustice fading into hope. And please watch this once more. Barack Obama lost a grandmother just before the election. He still has another grandmother. It's almost unbelievable that the president of the most powerful nation in the world has a grandmother living in rural Kenya.

For me, more than anything else, that's his promise to the world. Where the world of the White House meets rural Kenya, that's where progress is made and the future is changed.

I must say upfront that I did not vote in this presidential election or the last. I personally do not subscribe to politics or party lines as a whole. Although I realize that there is a nation and global arena of people that believe in it's necessity. I do not see this as a good thing or a bad thing just a fact that it does exist.

Having said all of that I could not help but feel the joy, hope, enthusiasm, and excitement of Mr. Barack Obama winning the US Presidential election. Not just because I happen to be African American, but mainly because in my eyes this means that the consciousness of the American People is expanding towards positive change. Perhaps towards a more cohesive and cooperative view of life. Imagine a world where race and ethnical background does not matter.

Has critical mass been reached to sway the balance of the human race towards oneness? Are we headed into the glory of the Age of Aquarius? Has THE SHIFT occured?

I believe that as the lowest man on the totem pole is lifted to his own greatness the group as a whole can not help but be lifted as well. I envision a society where each citizen who chooses, feels valued, productive, safe and respected. "Where awareness goes - energy flows". P2
