Teen leaders explore local communities for a greater understanding of today's issues

A group of 36 Northern California teens are taking their summer to explore their local communities in an effort to gain a deeper understanding of the issues that affect their local communities. Through the Coro Exploring Leadership Program these students will conduct formal and informal interviews of dozens of community members including district supervisors, non-profit executive directors, and prominent business owners. They will examine the communities' distinct configurations, characteristics, and cultures to answer the question — "What is the Logic of this community?" The mission of the program is to develop teen leadership skills so that they can feel empowered to take action in their communities.
