Photographer Jack Gescheidt captures the spirit of trees and humans in the TreeSpirit Project.

When photographer Jack Gescheidt was walking in the woods of Marin County, California, one day in 2003, he was mesmerized by a 250-year-old oak tree. After he captured the tree for the first time with his camera, he started The Tree­Spirit Project, offering volunteer models a chance to connect­ with nature.
