Canada’s bold step toward wind energy

Think Canada and energy—and you’ll think of oil. But this week, a deal has been signed to get the world’s largest offshore wind farm up in Ontario.

The 880 wind turbines that will be erected in the Great Lakes will produce more than 4,000 MW, enough to power 2 million homes.

It is estimated that this deal will create 50,000 jobs in the next three years.
