Nothing

The other day I was listening to The Beatles

The experience of nothing is the SOURCE of everything. But our purpose, as all of life in the universe, is to manifest/grow/produce/create - our purpose is to manifest, and so we manifest all the time weather we want to or not, weather we are conscious of it or not. The only difference between those that manifest change that is in line with their desire is weather or not their intention is in line with their inner state of being (like attracts like).

Nothingness is simply the earth of which all things sprout - staying in nothingness for purpose of staying in the bliss of it, is like keeping yourself in a state of nature high for the purpose of indulgence. There is nothing wrong or right with it - but ultimately that "feeling good place" will still cuase action, creation - because nothingness is an element within the formula our larger purpose, which is to create...aka...we are in the image of God (they say...in this case...I agree with them).

Quantum physicist David Bohm used to tell a story about walking through the London Underground and seeing a sign that advertised 'Nothing works like Anacin' . . . and he thought: why not try nothing?

cute story . . . but I really think we're onto 'something' here . . . or . . . huh?

hello, what john lennon was saying in across the universe, when he said "nothin's gonna change my world" is that he was going to keep his mind in balance, and not react to the world as it is. that the world is, and that we all choose our own destiny. it is mankind's job to calm their own mind, and to not let ourselves get attached to anything. its a eastern philosophy. hence nothin gonna change his world, he is not going to get "attached" to anything.

To cocede to nothing to achieve experiences is to concede to experiencing a life that goes nowhere. Nothingness ended once the Creator dedcided to manifest his powers. We think nothing occurs or exists only because we are limited.

Given John Lennon's meetings, together with the other Beatles, with sages such as Sri Ramakrishna, that line probably isn't that surprising! And I'm delighted to see that teachings from those such as Ramakrishna, Buddha, Krishnamurti and Tolle are beginning to take root in the egoic psyche of humanity - as you say, Tijn, in Nothing is the space and stillness for Everything to be!

I also felt Lennon's words were of his resolution to remain balanced, the calm amid the turbulent storm. I recenlty saw the same titled movie and thought the director really grasped this in the interpretation.

This is it. Just the way it is, and the way it isn't.
