I am four peace
You have read one of my favorite rants in these pages before: What are you for?
I’m only interested in what people are for in this world, not what they are against. Being against anything is a form of resistance, and what we resist persists, no matter what it is. When my dear Kasey sent me this website, a huge grin burst upon my face.
I Am Four Peace represents organic and earth friendly products Four Peace. Well, I’m sure you know by now that I am for anything that’s fo[u]r peace. Their wording made me wonder … what is it about four and peace?
Their site says, "When you say: I am four peace the world is a better place. It really is that simple."
That’s true and it’s lovely. The site has some lovely recommendations for establishing a peace corner in your daily life, and a video of Yusef Islam (Cat Stevens) singing his beautiful song “Peace Train.” You can read their blog, Thoughts Four Peace, here.
I particularly like their Peace Partners idea. As a membership site, they donate $1 to a peace partner for every new member. (Yes, I joined.) Launched on Earth Day of this year, I Am Four Peace deserves our support as part of our ongoing work for peace.
