Roni's story: Stigmatized at birth but has passion to make a difference
Once again, I am inspired to write. I do so to introduce you to a young man who is both extraordinary and ordinary. Before I share his story, I want you to know some of my own philosophy and observations of what I call the realized expressions of life. One is born with the ability to seize and manipulate the experiences of ones realities and create expressions and outcomes that are a lot more than just mundane. Seizing opportunities, perhaps with or perhaps without fear, yet seizing opportunities that others do not notice or are not inspired by.
A case in point is the young man I am writing about, Roni, born in Northern India in a home/sanctuary created for those whose parents and grand parents were affected with leprosy.
Some are born “untouchable” simply because of their bloodline. Many are born royals also and simply because of their bloodline. What is just and what is unjust? The conditions of birth are both realities. Yet, is it not how we bend our realities that shape our lives?
The reality of Saurabh Masih AKA Roni’s birth makes him an untouchable. The subtle difference between this young man and so many others is that he knew consciously or otherwise the secret of the laws of attraction or perhaps the laws of quantum physics. An observation became a dream. An inspiration nourished the dream and the tenacity necessary to stay with the intentions must have been presented to the universe.
One conversation with a doctor who treated him often when he was a child in India was also part of his reality. Her life touched his because the reality that she was born into as well. Born in his country of American medical missionaries parents. She too became inspired by the work of her parents. Like them she became a doctor who often would return to India to treat and help those called Untouchables living in homes founded by her family. The curse placed on Roni by his country did not prevent him from being a dreamer. An older doctor encouraged the dream and now nourishes the seed that is growing out of this dream.
Without a bank account, this young man is studying dentistry in the southern part of India; he must keep his dream intact, he must nourish his intention with all the tenacity he can muster. Three more years of studies before he can return to his village and administer dental care to those no one dares to touch.
He will fix the teeth of the children in the homes of those born with the social curse of their homeland. Like Roni they are untouchables. He will open a dental clinic in a village where he can practice.
Like many of us, will Roni complain one day about being over worked? Will he think of being underpaid, for the majority of his clients will not be able to pay for services rendered? Will a friend listen to him and say: “count your blessings you are helping many.”
Will senses of injustices prevail among those not aware of the differences that bring about and attract changes in their own lives? Unfortunately, probably so because those are conditions of the many, without inspirations, dreams, intentions and tenacity.
Will some not feel injustices simply because they are not aware or perhaps chose to set their visions to more mundane matters?
In the meantime Roni continues to go to school on a shoestring, with donations from abroad.
Do people like Roni attract the help they need because they attracted the forces they needed? How many of us miss the wonders of the Universe? Consider: the Universe hears the inner stirrings of a young boy stigmatized at birth but with a passionate dream to make a difference. That same Universe hears the inner stirrings of an American Doctor to return to the land of her birth to make a difference. The Universe places the little boy dreamer and the woman doctor, helper, servant, in a room together. Karma, faith, quantum physics…The Universe births the possibilities.
riends of the Gladys T. Mc Garey Medical Foundation, one dollar at a time are paying for his education. To achieve great dreams it sometimes takes the ability to climb mountains barefooted. Perhaps, Roni will inspire others to become the helper that he is becoming simply because he received a little help from one who was helped also.
