The inner journey ... with a little help
I had a very good experience this weekend. I went to a spiritual event where people drink Santo Daime and enjoy the inner journey together. Santo Daime is, as far as I know, a collective name for several plants/teas that have similar effects. They are all aimed at opening you up, letting your soul/cells talk to you and letting you know what you need to proceed in life. It isn’t meant as a party drug at all and is known not to work well in crowded and loud environments like raves.
The type I took gives a trip of about three hours and the things you see vary strongly from occasion to occasion and from person to person. Usually the first few times you don’t see much and it’s common to throw up (the tea cleans your body and literally throws the rubbish out). Fortunately I didn’t get sick and got one hell of a trip. I was shown many things about myself, most I already knew but hadn’t been able to experience and realize so well.
I remember that I need to accept my “bad” side more, my fears and frustration. That’s something I (always) look down on, like it’s something that’s not supposed to exist; so I condemn the negative feelings I have. During my experience I could strongly feel fear and sorrow, but I accepted it with love and felt amazing while allowing the “negative” to be there: I was whole!
Another thing I remember is the enjoying of the moment. It was a great moment where future goals seemed ridiculous. I remember laughing about my habit of living inside ideas, concepts and goals.
I feel good now, but am aware that all that was seen and felt isn’t incorporated automatically. Old patterns always invite themselves for coffee, new ideas aren’t as stubborn; you’ll have to do the inviting. One thing for sure; living beyond the mind is amazing, more than amazing. I only saw a little bit and that was already unreal.
At the event I heard one of the facilitators say that it just got legalized in the states. So consider that good news for those of you that live there. I highly recommend it. It will open up a conversation with yourself, letting you speak the whole truth to yourself.

I am glad you had such a great experience with the daime.
Wanted to clarify two things from your post.
1. Daime is daime is daime. It is always made from the same plants, always (leaf of the Queen, Vine of the Master). Daime is one version of ayhuasca, which can be made from different plants but always contains DMT and an MAOI. I'll let you take it from there.
2. Daime is not legal in the US. The DEA and local authorities will, unfortunately, arrest you if they find you with it in your possession. The Supreme Court has ruled that the UDV (another church) can use ayhuasca in its ceremonies, but the legal status of the Daime church is unresolved. BE CAUTIOUS! We will, I hope and believe, win eventually, but right now we need discernment and to be careful.
