Wouldn't peace be nice?

I’ve formed a book policy for my life. Basically, I wait till a book is recommended to me three times before I check it out. Ask And It Is Given was recommended to me three times in one day! I visited the Amazonians and bought it. In it, Esther Hicks channels a group of nonphysical energies known as Abraham. Wisdom is wisdom say I.

The first half of the book is about who we are, why we’re here, and the laws that govern our reality. The second half is twenty-two exercises designed to deal with our reality when it doesn’t match what we want.

One of them is called “Wouldn’t It Be Nice?”

The idea is that when we experience reality as being not what we want, instead of attaching to some idea that is the opposite, we say, “Wouldn’t it be nice if __________?” and we fill in the blank.

Abraham says it’s a way of stating our goals and remaining unattached to outcomes.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were peace all over the earth? Wouldn’t it be nice if global warming turned out to be a blessing? Wouldn’t it be nice if all my unfinished projects were completed? Wouldn’t it be nice if a publisher bought all my novels?

You try it. I agree with Abraham. Wouldn’t it be nice holds ideas and ideals in a gentle way so that even better things can be created. Grasping our dreams too closely actually prevents them from manifesting.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone who reads this floats this idea daily:

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were peace all over the earth?

Very good blog post. Peace would be nice but even the EARLIEST people (like the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Mesopotamians etc.) had to fight to gain things like property. We created war and there is NO way to stop war. Even if we DO, it will soon pop up. Good blog!
