New peace book

I have gathered all my peace posts from Ode’s Readers Blog, and put them in a small PDF book, Dr. Susan Corso’s Peace Posts from Ode Magazine’s Readers Blog downloadable for free from my website..

Below you will read a list of people and organizations who influenced my thoughts, words and deeds toward peace since I started writing for Ode a year and a half ago. First, I was shocked at how many. 444! Then I realized—of course! I can’t be the only one thinking this way. We’re all connected.

There are generals, peacemongerers, school children, commenters, organizations, towns, cities, gurus, poets, ministers, terrorists, interns, actors, museums, books, clubs, online resources, editors, license plates, editors, documents, not-for-profits. The people are Earthside, Spiritside and fictional. Some hold intentions for peace, and others do not, but without exception, they all inspired me to think of, meditate on or take action for peace.

At random, I chose to do some statistical figuring, just to entertain my brain. Consider these measurables: I have been posting on Ode since June 13, 2007. That’s 578 days; 444 items. It equals .76. Seventy-six hundredths of a peace thought per day. I’m hoping next year to up it to at least one whole thought per day.

So with good wishes for a brilliant New Year in 2009, I offer heartfelt thanks to everyone and every group below. Stay with Peace, dear ones, and we’ll all get there!
